One of the main reasons Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year is because of the flowers! At Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery and Garden Center, we have poinsettias, wreaths, roping, fresh cut trees, holiday planters and everything red and beautiful, delighting the senses in the memories from Christmases past.

After operating a Batavia greenhouse since 1974, the spectacular Dutch glass greenhouses of Shady Hill Gardens were first opened in Elburn in 1992. IN 1998, retail Garden Center greenhouses were built our first spring in Elburn was in 1999. In the summer of 2007, everything was moved to our Elburn location. September 1, 2022 JP and Brent Troost bought Shady Hill Gardens to continue cultivating their future by growing even more beautiful plants for every season!

While spring is our main season, we start growing our poinsettias in June to have them ready for you at Holiday time. Countryside Flower Shop, Nursery and Garden Center is proud to offer a large variety of gorgeous poinsettias for gift giving, decorating your home or office, or for fundraising!
